Dr Bahman Bahmani, associate professor at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences and director of Moeen Counselling Centre, founded the centre in 1999. Since 1995 he has also taught in the psychology and counselling departments of public and Islamic Azad universities, at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level.
Education

Running training workshops for the public and for professionals; writing a large number of scientific papers, some accepted and published in reputable journals and others presented at national seminars and congresses.
These include “Separation anxiety disorder in children: a proposed couple-focused (parental) treatment approach”, presented at the 5th International Congress of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2012); “Spiritual experience in mothers of children with potentially fatal illness compared with mothers of healthy children”, presented at the 4th Congress of the Iranian Psychological Association (2012); “The effectiveness of group training in transactional analysis on university students’ styles of coping with stress”, presented at the 1st National Congress on University Health (2012); “The relationship of aggression and impulsivity with readiness for addiction in male students”, published in the Rehabilitation research quarterly (Vol. 14, No. 2, 2013); and “The effectiveness of group cognitive–behavioural intervention in improving body image and self-esteem in women with breast cancer after mastectomy”, published in the Rehabilitation research quarterly (Vol. 13, No. 4, 2012), among others.
